Duties:
• Relay all relevant information, issues, needs, and improvement ideas to the Facilities Manager;
• Conduct regular inspections of premises and perform routine maintenance checks;
• Carry out routine electrical maintenance and install major electrical appliances and systems;
• Disassemble faulty or damaged equipment for repair and reassemble components after successful maintenance;
• Diagnose equipment or system malfunctions and recommend appropriate corrective actions;
• Provide recommendations regarding equipment repair or replacement;
• Ensure grounds and common areas are safe, clean, and fully operational;
• Examine machinery and equipment to verify proper functioning and identify defects;
• Use hand and power tools to connect, disconnect, adjust, or repair wiring, tubing, and other components;
• Receive and process work orders; identify required parts, equipment, and services to complete maintenance tasks;
• Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned;
• Receive deliveries of tools, equipment, and supplies and distribute them to designated workstations or areas ;
• Assist maintenance staff by holding or transferring tools, equipment, and materials during repair activities;
• Move or position equipment, vehicles, or physical structures to facilitate access for installation or repair work;
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations, which may require extended working hours or call-outs outside normal schedules.

Profil du poste

• Sound knowledge of general maintenance functions, including basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and cleaning;
• Proven professional experience as a Maintenance Electrician;
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and compliance with international and national electrical codes;
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance;
• Physically fit, capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Good communication, reasoning, and interpersonal skills;
• Effective verbal, listening, and basic presentation skills;
• Fluency in French;
• Working proficiency in English.
