Description du poste

Duties:
• Relay all relevant information, issues, needs, and improvement suggestions to the Facilities Manager ;
• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components, including water distribution and wastewater disposal systems;
• Disassemble faulty or damaged equipment to facilitate repairs and reassemble components once repairs are completed;
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure plumbing systems and related equipment are functioning properly;
• Examine machinery and equipment to identify defects, leaks, or operational failures;
• Use hand and power tools to connect, disconnect, adjust, or repair pipes, tubing, fittings, and related components;
• Maintain grounds and common areas to ensure they are safe, clean, and fully operational;
• Receive and execute work orders; determine required parts, tools, equipment, and services to complete maintenance tasks;
• Perform additional maintenance-related duties as required;
• Receive deliveries of tools, equipment, and supplies and distribute them to designated workstations or areas;
• Assist maintenance personnel by holding, handing off, or transporting tools, equipment, and materials during repair or installation activities;
• Move or position vehicles, equipment, and physical structures to ensure safe and efficient access for maintenance work;
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations, including availability for call-outs outside normal working hours or extended shifts when required.

Profil du poste

• Proficient knowledge of plumbing systems, including water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential or institutional buildings;
• Solid knowledge of general maintenance functions, including basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, and cleaning;
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance;
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual labor;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication, reasoning, and interpersonal abilities;
• Effective verbal, listening, and basic presentation skills.
